A lotus and swan pallu worked through handloom pure cotton, on a ground that shifts between red and pink as the light moves across it. Two of the oldest motifs in the Paithani vocabulary, carried by weavers in Yeola.
Cotton rather than silk changes how a Paithani wears: lighter, breathable, and suited to being worn often rather than kept for one occasion. Equally at home at a festival, a family function or an ordinary working day.
