A lotus and swan pallu worked through handloom pure cotton, woven here on a warm mango ground. Two of the oldest motifs in the Paithani vocabulary, carried by weavers in Yeola.
Cotton rather than silk changes how a Paithani wears: lighter, breathable, and suited to being worn often rather than kept for one occasion. Equally at home at a festival, a family function or an ordinary working day.
